Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi was established in 1977 and is now located at Morgah near Attock Oil Refinery Rawalpindi. Rawalpindi Board was established with the aim to provide quality education to the students in the affiliated schools in Rawalpindi and colleges at different levels. Rawalpindi Board also conducts the annual and supply exams of matric and inter classes in the schools and colleges located in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal and Jhelum. BISE Rawalpindi Board has maintained its own schedule to conduct the annual and supply exams of SSC and HSSC at their proper time.

Rawalpindi Board starts receiving the admission forms from the candidates in the last week of November and after completion of this process, Rawalpindi Board issues matric roll number slips and SSC date sheet of the annual exams of Matric class in February before the start of the annual exams. After one months, Rawalpindi Board conducts the annual exams of 9th and 10th classes and the SSC result of the annual exams of Matric class is issued after two or three months of the annual exams. Rawalpindi Board also holds the annual exams of FA/FSc in the colleges at the same schedule during the month of April. Rawalpindi Board enables the students to receive the Inter date sheet and HSSC roll number slips at the perfect time so that they can appear in the annual exams of matric and inter classes. Rawalpindi Board also conducts the exams in the courses like PTC, CT, OT, DM and Drawing Masters.
